How to Pause or Cancel a Task

Pausing or cancelling a task generates a bill for hours worked and converts any remaining balance to platform credit.

Pausing an active task

Clients can pause an active task from their portal. When paused, a bill is automatically generated for the hours worked up to that point, so the tasker is fairly compensated for time already spent.

Remaining balance becomes credit

Any remaining pre-paid balance is converted to platform credit, which you can apply to future tasks. This keeps your funds available without losing them.

Cancelling entirely

To cancel a task completely, select Cancel Task. The same billing logic applies — you're billed for any hours worked and the remainder becomes credit.

A note on credits

Platform credits are non-refundable as cash. They remain on your account and are automatically applied to your next task at checkout.
